Been spending too much time in doors and getting too much sleep. Got my thang out of whack, and I got to get it back. Seems certain people don't want to talk to me at the moment, but I'm patient and thanks to my home dawg Mr. Pizzle Mass-o-tron I have plenty of mindless entertainment to indulge in. Shout out to my boy!
I need to get some writing done. Been to exhausted lately to do much, but I'm feeling pretty good. Got some optimism. I also listened to some performances that Mr. Edward G sent me, but then I realized they weren't from his own band. Are you gonna record some stuff live? You need an H2 son. You got way too many ultra expensive keyboards that do nothing but make 70's space noises. What's the point if you can't field record? There isn't one.
Shout out to the English! Diplomatic relations are in tatters for some reason I am unaware of, but that's cool. I got time on my hands, and a heart of gold. Ain't I sweet?
Got a new review up for an awesome movie that you should be required to see. Check out the evil side of Andy Griffith. Well gotta run. Dolla dolla bill ya'll!
Hammer don't play so you better step back boy!
What's more hardcore than a highschool letter jacket and short shorts? Nothing dawg!
Remember the Tom Waits album "Small Change?" Well the topless dancer in the background is actually the actress who played Elvira Mistress of the Darkness.
1) Every time I'm with people and I tell them that I don't believe in ghosts some one always tells me a story about how some relative of theirs used to see ghosts, and they always end the story by saying "... and why would they lie?" I've always wanted to say "Because they're a liar," but I never have.
2) I have never dated a girl that wasn't bisexual.
3) In the last twenty years I have never traveled further than Georgia.
4) My film heros are Jack Webb, John Wayne , and Jackie Chan.
5) I've read "I am Jackie Chan" three times. So far this is the only book I've read more than once.
6) When people snap their fingers it drives me into a momentary frenzy and my eyes roll back like a shark attacking its prey.
7) Nearly every girl I've ever dated has said a variation on this sentence: "I wish America was a more spiritual nation like India."
8) My heart races a little every time I hear a British accent
9) I have walked out on exactly three movies in my life
10) I have a weird fascination with holistic medicine. I believe that most of it is crap, but I love hearing about it.
As far back as I can remember I've always associated the change in weather with good feelings and hope. People in general always seem to be so much more kind and sociable. But this year the change in temperature seems to have brought a down beet vibe with it. It's a desperate situation for most people, and even if you're not struggling too much it feels like every one I know has some private circumstance that's dragging them down. It's like every one is carrying some kind of burden, and it shows in their eyes.
I know I wish I could be on even ground with some situations in my life. It seems that some one might have the wrong impression about my intentions. Hell, I don't know what it is they think, and they don't seem to want to convey that information to me. Still there is plenty to thankful for. For instance I went out and had a nice steak dinner with a friend.
(Warning this steak is just a reenactment. It is not an actual picture of the steak I just ate)
We should work to make things easier on each other instead of of more difficult or at the least ambiguous. I don't mean in a cosmic "one earth" kind of sense, but at least just on the people we care about. I think I'll get back into taking photographs and posting them here. I care about my friends, and there are some people I care very deeply about despite whether or not they think I should feel a certain way. That's a compliment and a meaningful one. It's a world of dishonesty and I think we are all good enough to be honest with each other. Cheer up America.
Speaking of which read this. What a crock! The government giveth, and the government taketh away.
Here's a rap song about space aliens. Check out their You Tube channel. They also have a spoken word techno song about how we never landed on the moon.
I've had a poisonous feeling in my blood for the last couple of days and I'm not sure why. Not for the reasons you might think, but I just feel like there's something lurking in the background. I'm not worried. It's not like I've never had this feeling before. Despite that there's nothing particularly wrong with things. I suppose it will pass.
Things to be thankful for:
1) God
2) Friends and family
3) One first rate pile of finds at the Salvation Army the other day
4) Baked ham
5) Having loved and lost means that at least you loved, and had been loved back at some point
I think I'm going to take a hiatus from recording music. I need to listen to more music, and practice more. I've hit a brick wall, and as an avant-garde musician that is a deadly thing. I haven't enjoyed music in a very long time, and like every area in life you need to experience new things if you're going to grow. I know what I want to accomplish sonically I just have no idea how I can make it happen. But there is a thing or two I need to say before I take a break.
I suppose I would like to pour out a lot of sentiments and what not, but I know how some of you hate talking about your feelings. That isn't what I want. I don't need answers. Though I would like to know some more about what I don't know. I used to collect vinyls. I just figured we all would never have much in common, but people surprise you now and again.
Oh, and some one stole our bicycles from the garage. What the hell is up with that?
Well I might be around at some point if you wanna talk or just pall around.
Oh and there should be me more than one new movie review up!
These are my words. The photos are mine too. Please read and enjoy and don't forget to check out my Myspace music page which is linked below as well as twitter me. I do love recognition.
