You might have noticed I've haven't given any updates about my life. There might be fewer of those for a bit (maybe) since I'm getting into a more creative frame of mind. But stick with me as the fruits of my labor will be juicy and nourishing.
What have I been up to? Went on a job interview. The actual job wasn't exactly what they had advertised. It's calling people who have responded to a radio advertisement, and then selling them debt consolidation services. It's the kind of small office where every one working there is about 25, wears tight shirts, and has slicked back hair. The interview of brief so I doubt I'll end up getting the job, but we'll see. I don't really want it any way.
I've also been listening to music more these days thanks to my expanding cassette library. I found an amazing Japanese import of Kazuhito and Naoko Yamashite performing Stravinsky's The Firebird on guitar. It's less of a literal interpretation, and more about the feeling of the piece, but its excellent. I also picked up a take of some Indian instrumental pieces, and a few other things including some Tony Benet.
Beyond that I'm just working on my concept for The Book of Judges, and I think I have an interesting new direction in mind. So when I'm not working on things, applying for jobs, or snapping picks I read or play games. My new favorite line in the book Paul gave me is "Warch stepped onto the porch" I was convinced at that moment that Vince Flynn was just screwing with me. On games I'm playing Final Fantasy X-2 which I am enjoying a lot. Does that sum things up?
Oh, I did figure out how to beat my insomnia, but more on that next time.
